The D-AIM concept involves a variety of actors in the ATM world with different roles such as originators, providers, integrators and users of aeronautical information.

Examples of Data Originators could be: Surveying company Airport authority Military authority State authority (or company delegated by state authority) developĂng and maintaining Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) Meteorological Institute (such as Met Office (UK), National Weather Service (US) or SMHI (Sweden)
Examples of Data Providers could be: State authority (or company delegated by state authority) providing Aeronautical Information Services (AIS)
Examples of Data Integrators could be: Commercial data integrators such as European Aeronautical Group (EAG), Jeppesen or Lufthansa Systems/Lido State authority (or company delegated by state authority) providing enhanced Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) and products.
Examples of Data Users could be: Air Traffic Control (ATC) Airlines Operations Centre (AOC) Pilots (Airlines as well as General Aviation)
